This issue only started happening around 2 weeks ago. I play alot of LoL and Counterstrike so this is infuriating. This will happen seemingly at random and its across all my devices. The connection will time out for around 3-5 seconds before coming back and being completely normal for the next 8-10 seconds, then it will repeat and keep dropping / coming back. This will happen for maybe 10 minutes at a time before being completely fine for the next half hour.

If I do a speedtest while the issue is present it shows normal speeds (18-20 Mbps) but then will randomly drop to 0.00 instantly and then go back up to 20 in 3-5 seconds.

I'm sure that it has nothing to do with signal loss / location as it happens on all devices at all locations in the house. I don't think it has to do with interference either as I don't have neighbors and there aren't any other wireless networks close to me.

I have contacted my ISP and they have said that everything looks normal and fine on their end yet I'm still having these issues.

I have 20 Mbps upload and download liquid fibre.

- Router Model: HuaWei Echolife HG8245H
-My Wifi Adapter is a TP-Link Wireless N PCI Express Adapter
-Devices Connected: 3 Android Phones, 1 iPhone, 2 iPads, 3 laptops and the main use of the net is my PC (Specs below)

CPU

GPU
- MSI NVIDIA GTX 1070 Armor OC
RAM
- 2 x 8 Gb HyperX DDR4 @2666 MHz

Storage
  • Crucial MX500 250Gb SATA SSD
  • Seagate Barracuda 1Tb 7.2K RPM HDD

This is really frustrating and any help at all would be welcome!

You need to test on ethernet so you know if it is a wifi problem or something else before you spend a lot of time testing. It could be a failed wifi radio but it could also be a cable issue with the ISP. You need to eliminate possibilities to be sure.
