My dsl won\'t work on a different phone jack in my house

I am not able to get my DSL to work on a diferent phoen jack in my house. I did take teh wall jacks off to make sure the same color wires are connected to the jack i want to connect to versus where I am movign the DSL from, any other suggestions?

First does a phone work.. if not you have a cable issue. Most likely the wires are disconnected someplace. If a phone works you need to check for filters and remove them

Is it dead if you plug in a phone as well? it could be a loose connection or a break in the wire.
