My DVD drives are reconized as SCSI

If my DVD drives are recognized as SCSI will this screw up writes to the disk? For example making an ISO disk? (Note I got the following error from Free ISO Burner, Hardware Error 22683.)

Try seeing if there is a firmware update.

Uninstall them in the device manager and then restart. They will reinstall them on restart.

If the optical drive is SATA, you may simply need to install SATA drivers.
