My ECS 223 suddenly stopped working

This laptop was a gift to me and when I first got it, everything went well. After 3 weeks or so, it just stopped working.

I need help. I asked around and found out that my battery already has problems. I tried taking it off then powering the laptop on but to no avail. Another said it was the motherboard. I'm not sure and I'd like to be enlightened regarding this matter.
Please, any help would be highly appreciated.

it just shut down all of a sudden and when i tried powering on, the power indicator is on as well as the battery. i can hear the fan working but nothing on the screen. I tried connecting it to a monitor but it did not work also.

Did it feel hot when it shut down? If so, it might have been a heat issue.

You could try to start it with just the charger, no battery. If you can swap the memory, try that. Else I'm affraid the motherboard or gpu has died.

yup, it was hot...i already tried powering it without the battery but the results are the same. i haven't tried replacing the memory, i might add more the damage if i do so. so are there anything that i can do about my laptop?

If the laptop still has warranty, send it in. Else there's not much you can do, especially since you're not confident with swapping memory.
