Ok so I'm planning on moving my desk from one side of my room to the other and the main ethernet cable from the main router is to short to get to my desk and into my splitter. What should I do...

Would this work???

http://www.amazon.com/SIENOC-Extension-extender-Adapter-Cat5e/dp/B00ENH9CSC/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1458097040&sr=8-11&keywords=ethernet+extender+female

or this

Also, is there a difference between the two things mentioned above???

I wouldn't bother with Ethernet to USB, all other things aside, there are better ways to do it. Since it sounds like you cant just swap out a new cable because its running through a wall, then just extend it. You have 100ft of cable, thats fine, max Cat5 length is 100m not ft. Just buy a coupler like this one, and then whatever length cable you need.

Or get a switch and the needed cable and you can have multiple ports in the same room.

Ya know I can't really do that because the cable I already have is 100ft, that not being the issue though, the issue is that the way it is ran through the wall and above the ceiling it's almost impossible(not really) and just to much of a hassle... and back to my original question... Would one of the parts provided above work????

Cat5e or Cat6 works out to 100 meters. 330 feet.

What are you expecting those adapter things to do?

You know what would work 100%? Buy a 10/100/1000 switch. Where the existing cable is terminated, connect it to that switch. Cat5e or Cat6 from that switch to your new PC location.

USB? Sure, if you want to cripple the network performance.
