Question My EVGA 2080 Super FTW3 ultra wont fit inside my case

I recently bought a 2080 super ftw3 ultra graphics card, I went to plug it in, and it wouldn't even fit at all, i bought a riser cable and I'm wondering if I should just cut through the case and externally mount it, if I do this I'm wondering what issues I will encounter from dust and whatnot. BTW the pc is an acer predator g6-720

Too long or too wide? Also, what is the make/model of your power supply?

Running externally is not a good idea, especially if you have kids or critters roaming about.
