Question My Exernal Hard Drive Works On One Computer, But Doesn't Show Up On Another. But...

My external WD hard drive works perfectly fine on my desktop but when I plug the same hard drive into an office's laptop it doesn't show up. However, after I borrow and change the cable from my colleague, it shows up. What is going on with my HDD?

Sounds more like a cable issue to me. It's probably not delivering power correctly or rated at the correct amps to run the external HDD so you're just getting lucky on your own PC. If you already know that a different cable works... then just get a new cable.
