my external drive's connector is not working. so can i change it into internal by just removing the external's case alone

its a acer http://postimg.org/image/4nvl3940b/ can the casing be removed and used as an internal using sata cable or do i need to buy any extra harware. i asked service center the cant repair since its outdated model but mine is working fine

You can try connecting it internally but sometimes that's not possible as the drive itself may have a proprietary connection interface which is neither standard SATA nor standard IDE PATA. You won't know till you've extracted it from the Acer enclosure.

Your first challenge however is figuring out how to open the enclosure because there is usually not a screw in sight with this type of device. Usually held together by concealed clips all round the edges.
