My external hard drive - seagate 1T is not recognized, what software will i use to fix this problem?

My external hard drive seagate 1T is not recognized, it was not being detected with my laptop ...what software will i use to fix this problem? i search in the enternet on what to do...i follow all of them but it doesn't work...the drive still working because it blinks light which means the the program or format of the drive needs to fix ......i really need the data inside... please help me

Hey shiennaoblenda. Can you see it somewhere at all (Disk Management, Device Manager, BIOS?). If you can see it in Disk Management, you could try to change its letter. You should also try the basic troubleshooting e.g. try it with different USB cable, different USB ports and a different computer.
