So I got myself a new monitor, lg23mp68vq. It's an IPS monitor
When I start using this, it caused my intense eyestrain to the point my eye would tear up every 20 minute of use. I tried setting the brightness to the least value but it's still too bright. I also tried changing the brightness in radeon graphic setting but it doesn't work. I tried changing the picture mode to "reading" but it still doesn't help. I thought IPS monitor is suppose to have good color and viewing angle. Is there anything I could do?

Your monitor has Freesync and a refresh between 56Hz and 75Hz.
Use Freesync if you have an AMD graphics card.
More important is to set the monitor and Windows to use 75Hz.
It's probably on 59-60hz by default.
Your screen also has FlickerSafe, but I don't know how it works.
Read the manual.

I had a lot of problems with my old monitor too.
The eyestrain would make me go cross eyed at random, sometimes while driving.
I went to the eye doctor and my vision was fine but she had me do eye exercises.
(hold your finger at arms length and slowly touch your nose while keeping in focus)
That didn't help.

When I got a 75Hz monitor last month my problems disappeared right away.

I always have it at 75hz. Still have headache
