I think that i am either going crazy, or my monitor is flickering..
it is a viewsonic 17GA perfect sound multimedia monitor...
the speakers on it i use to run the sound on my wintv...
it is a 17" monitor.
every once in a while it looks like the screen is getting slightly darker, and then returns to normal...
it does this in any resolution/refresh rate...
what could be causing this problem?!?!?!!?!?!?!?
could it be my eyes?!?!! too much radiaion absorbed by my eyes causing me to see flicker...
hehe
i hope not..

Not your eyes. Any specific times you have noticed this happening. if you are very worried about your eyes, switch to LCD. I can give you the best of the best LCd's (I researched them a lot).

Your brain: PC
You brain on drugs: Mac

well...it seems to have stopped...KNOCK ON MY WOODEN HEAD!
but i think that it might have been a power drain caused by having my friends laptop and peripherals plugged into the same power strip that my monitor, tower (with 8 fans) and speakers with two subs, and a desk lamp, and a dsl modem and router...i had to add another power strip for the lamp and the router.....but since he took his laptop home, my monitor has been running fine....but i had noticed it before he brought it over....
i couldnt notice it during games, but i think that is because none of the games that i am playing are white screens like internet explorer or word. i hope that this problem doesnt resurface..
also, i am interested in lcd monitors.....what are some of the nice ones....so that if i decide to get one in the near future, i can get a good one...

also...on my monitor, in the digital controls, there is an option called video level....the options are .7V and 1V.
what is this option, and what does it do..
when i change it to 1V, the only difference i can visually see on desktop picture is darker display....( i changed it thinking that it would make the flicker go away...more volts=more juice going to tube=no flicker....but to no avail)
