My first attempt at PC case cable management

I've seen videos on these wonderful cases that have a variety of options for tucking cables out of sight that would otherwise block airflow, and I realised that my mini tower case has rudimentary options for that, or so I believe.

This is how my case interior used to be:

And this is how it is now, after extensive and hair-raising rearrangement:

I can't do much about the CPU power cable going across the CPU fan, but I think everything else has improved in airflow. However, the cables (especially the big fat mobo power cable) project outwards, so much I cannot put the cover on that side of the case:

So, can I leave it like that? It shouldn't cause any problems, and it might even aid with ventilation, although more dust might get in.

What should I do? What are my options?

I'm using a semi-modular PSU, but even if it was fully modular the 24-pin ATX cable would still be fat. And I cannot put the side on, at all. What should I do?

On the other PC here, the cables I dont use, I used a cable tie...And chucked them up by the dvd writer. Out of the way

Not all modular cables are fat / big. The Strider modular PSU I have in this PC (Silverstone ). You can buy flat cables

The standard ones are too big, they look ugly

There's only 3 cables coming out of it. The power, the ATX 8 pin , and one sata cable. I dont have a dvd in this, because there's no front bays on this case

But if I need one, I'll get an external one.

I changed my mind and put everything back inside the case (toughest part was the PSU) and I think I've organised things a bit more elegantly - at least I can see what goes where, now:

Also, there is the safety factor, like before, those cables on the outside were the main motherboard connections, and a wrong move or even a yank would've fried the motherboard, so safety first.
