So I am planning on building my first gaming PC, I think I have all the parts I need are they are the correct parts but I am a beginner so please any recommendations for changes or things I may have over looked would be great. Just waiting for some feedback from a few people before I go ahead and order the parts.

Thanks.

If you are not overclocking, you could go for something like this:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor (£141.19 @ More Computers)
Motherboard: ASRock H97 PRO4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (£68.36 @ Scan.co.uk)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (£37.24 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£39.95 @ CCL Computers)
Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 380 2GB Video Card (£158.76 @ Aria PC)
Power Supply: XFX 550W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply (£49.98 @ Novatech)
Total: £495.48
Prices...
I have that exact graphics card and a much inferior cpu (I5 750) and it is better than anything I have seen on an xbox one or ps4. I have heard that cpu is very good indeed. A gtx 970 might suit it better but it is about £100 more expensive but I have no problem recommending the 960.

not according to toms hardware charts.

I am thinking of upgrading myself and this sounds like good advice, thanks. Is the i5-4460 superior to the closely priced FX 8350?

While gaming yes
While rendering/editing/blablabla probably not

Thanks, I would keep my GTX 960 as I have only had it a week. It falls behind the 380 but is much better than my old HD 6850 and I am happy with it

Thanks for the help, I doubt I will be overclocking in the near future. I was looking at the 4460 to begin with so I think I will go with this build. I was just looking for a case on different websites because its a pain looking through partpicker for images of the cases, thanks again.
