Hey guys this is my first build and I have read these forums for most of my information on the subject. I have put together a list on newegg of what I plan to buy tomorrow. Just want to get the O.K. that I did not screw up somewhere or lose a ton of value. I Will be using this for mostly gaming and will get a bigger drive for other things sometime in the near future. I am also at my spending limit.

Thank you so much! I going to go with all your changes except the Mobo+cpu combo. I don't really want to wait for it so I will just play the dice on mine :pt1cable: . May I ask why go with the Radeon HD 6950 then the Gforce?

the 6950 is a more powerful card and it isnt much more expensive

you can buy oc'd 6950 1gb for 230$ after m.i.r. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150524
or a card with a great aftermarket cooler for 230$ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102949 amd makes a oc tool that is really easy to use

not a great choice but both will give you great performance. one not as much

ok i see your point. but i would say the 6950 1gb and 560 ti are about equal because the 6950 is a more powerful card stock and since they both can be oc'd (the 560 ti more than the 6950) it should equal out. but oc'ing gpu's a lot is kind of tricky. it is almost a necessity to have an aftermarket cooler

u are right but there is that ice q 6950 1gb for 230$ w/ mail in rebate which is factory oc'd to 840mhz and then look at the msi twin frozr ii it is 225$ w/ mail in rebate. so 5$..... id say they are in the same price range
