My First Build (Gaming)

I'm looking to buy or build a gaming rig to replace my 7 year old alienware. I'm leaning building, but am a little intimidated as the most I've ever done is add some ram or put a new dvd burner in. I'm just looking for some input and maybe some recommendations on where I could save a little money, or if I need to upgrade something too. currently the build it right around the max I want to put into it.

Honestly, i'd advise against a blue ray drive, as you have to spend an additional minimum of $40 just to be able to play bluerays with it (blueray playback software is not free)

other than that, good build, though don't buy the extra fans if you are on a budget as that case already comes with lots of fans. same thing with the fan controller. the case already has a built in one. it's a nice thing to add to some cases, but the phantom cases really don't benefit from it, and it is really something you dont need whatsoever for that case

just think, not buying the fan controller, fans, and only getting a reg dvd drive would almost save you $80. you could get a much better gtx 770 with that money like the asus, evga or msi one
