So i want to build my first pc and this is my hardware:
R9 380
Fx 6300/i5 4460
Msi z97 or 997 mobo
But ui want to max every game, don't need to have 60 fps, 30 is enough
And my question is what cpu should I chose the fx or the i5 I have a 1280x1024 monitor and I don't want to buy another one, so do you think that I don't need that gpu, and can I max out every game with the fx(I don't want to spend too much money so if the fx is enough I don't want to spend more money with the i5) a friend of mine tells me that I don't need a r9 380 to max out every game with my res and that I should buy a cheapest one is he right?) help meeee

720p is a lower resolution so you would see a performance increase, 1080p is a higher resolution so you would see your fps lower, your resolution is in the middle. I can't tell you the fps difference you would get using each resolution but I can tell you that a gtx 950 will play most 1080p games at medium settings at 60fps, so you should be able to play games at med-high settings at your resolution.
If you plan on gaming at that resolution for the foreseeable future then I suggest getting something like the gtx 950 or R7 370 instead. The i5 is definitely better than the FX but if you are trying for a low budget than the FX will game just fine.

if your going to stay at 1080p resolution i would save some money and get an FX or the Athlon X4 860k, but if 1440p or a 4k display is in the plans for the future go with the i5, also if some of the games you want to play are older you will generally see the the better per core performance of the intel chips. With an SSD, 2133 RAM, Athlon X4 860K, R9 290x i can play anything at ultra at 1080p, i've even been playing fallout 4 at 4k stuck at 30Hz though, no HDMI 2.0 on the 290x.
