My first Build Questions

I am trying to build a good rig for gaming. I want to play 1440p and try my hand at some streaming if I end up enjoying it, but multi-tasking is common for me. I typically will have twitch or a streaming service like netflix or amazon always in the background.
I have most of my basics down for this build:
CPU: intel i7-7700k
GPU: ASUS GTX 1070 dual
RAM:G.SKILL Ripjaws 16GB (8x2) DDR4 2400
Memory: MyDigitalSSD 480GB and WD Blue 1 TB 7200RPM SATA

I don’t think I have any skill for overclocking at this point, but I am nervous about buying the correct MOBA, cooling and PSU to support my build well and give some small room for upgrades down the road. Id would like to save a little money if possible and hoping to spend < $200-$250 on the 3 if possible. The components above put me at $1073.

PSU- I’m looking at corsair VS600 600W $45
Cooling- Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240 All-In-One CPU Liquid Cooler $65

Any advice on the build is appreciated.

Well, if like you said you don't plan on overclocking anytime soon, than maybe save some money and go for the i7 7700 (no K) and pair it with something like a Hyper 212 from Coolermaster, it's about 20-30 € and it'll cool that CPU just fine. Or maybe thing about going for Ryzen, something like a R51600 or R7 1700 if you are REALLY heavy into multitasking. The motherboard then really depends on the CPU choice, but I would say maybe 100-130€ should suffice. Furthermore, I would suggest something like a 650Watt PSU, maybe the EVGA Supernova 650 or any other similar 80+ rated PSU (also think about getting one with modular cables maybe). And lastly, your RAM doesn't add up: How does 8x2=12GB? Did you mean 16? Other than that you should be fine.

Coffee Lake releases on the 2nd (I think) Oct. The 8600k should be close to or possibly better than the 7700k and is priced I believe only a little more than current i5's. Alternatively the 8700k will also be out and replaces the 7700k but has 6 cores & 12 threads with very slightly improved single core performance.

Coffee Lake releases on the 2nd (I think) Oct. The 8600k should be close to or possibly better than the 7700k and is priced I believe only a little more than current i5's. Alternatively the 8700k will also be out and replaces the 7700k but has 6 cores & 12 threads with very slightly improved single core performance.

I already purchased an i7-7700k for $266 because i thought it was a good deal. I could return it, but I didn’t think spending approx $500 on the i7-8700 would make a big enough difference for the cost.

‘Thank you, i meant 16Gb RAM ( changed it above now). I have never overclocked a cpu or GPU before so I don’t really know how complicated it will be and how stable the rig will be afterwards. I was thinking for $65 Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240 All-In-One CPU Liquid Cooler

I have to buy a case yet, still looking. Thinking mid ATX for size
Does that cooler work better than Cooler Master liquid 240

Haven't concerned myself with cheap AIOs so far, but the Mugen Max usually is a great deal as it provides performance of a ~45-55$ cooler for littler money. It is a bit tall though. Not every mid tower can fit (especially sub 45$ cases) but most do.

The liquid 240 is a decent aio for that price.
The fans are noisy though.

I'd have gone ryzen personally (the 1600 would have done the job on a sub 100htz screen & saved you a fair bit of money)

Good price on the 7700k though in all honesty.
