I've played with this set up for a while now, took a few builds from other member's suggestion and changed it up a bit to what I feel I needed. I'd just like some advice on the build before I decide to start buying.
A little background info: I am building this PC just to play sims 3, eventually 4, and games similar to Diablo 3 type graphics. I don't really play games with heavy graphics. The basic idea is to make sure I have enough space to play sims 3 plus the expansions smoothly. So onto my build:
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks
CPU: Intel Core i5-2400S 2.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($211.00 @ Vuugo)
Motherboard: Asus P8Z68-V LX ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($147.03 @ TigerDirect Canada)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($84.79 @ DirectCanada)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($64.75 @ Vuugo)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti 2GB Video Card ($0.00)
Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case ($54.69 @ DirectCanada)
Power Supply: SeaSonic G-750 750W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($138.80 @ Newegg Canada)
Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer ($19.75 @ Vuugo)
Total: $720.81
Okay so the video card was actually one my brother used in an older build so he's letting me have it, that wont be changing. My brother originally suggested I get an i7 Processor but I don't feel I need it and, honestly, I'm not willing to spend the money lol. Any advice on how (or If) I can trim the cost or pick a better component would be helpful too.
Thanks for reading, any and all advice is welcome as I am still a complete noob at this but I'm trying my best to learn![Smile :) :)](/data/assets/smilies/smile.gif)
