always run memory in sets of 2 it will run faster. in this build 2 4gig sticks is a better then 1 8 gig. other then that it looks pretty good.

i got the 1x 8gb for super cheap half the price if i had gone with the 2x4 it would have been 2x as much since its ddr4

Great build for the price. All parts high quality. Should perform really well at 1080P. Here it is with 2x4 CAS13 memory which is a bit better than the Kingston for only £3 more.

I'm still not sure if it's worth it. You might have been better off getting 2 sticks fir 16 GB. Also, an SSD would be a really nice addition.

oh, thanks ill put that into my build. i was going with a 500w cx corsair 80+ bronze for £35 but someone told me they weren't worth it, is that correct?

yeah as i would be capped out at 16gb of ram with the 2x4 gb ram . I don't really need an ssd it only improves load times

They're the same except the PCIe cables. The 550 TS has two 6+2-pin PCIe cables and the other has one 6+2-pin and one 6-pin.

yeah tghough from what i see 550w is no where near enough to supply for 970 sli people are saying 750w would you agree

Yes, for SLI you need minimum of 750 watts and needs to be high quality like Super Flower leadex.

Any of those 3 will work. All 3 have the required PCIe cables to power a pair of the Gigabyte GV-N970TTOC-4GD cards which use a single 6+2-pin cable for each card. The XFX are made by Seasonic and are good quality.
