This is my first build, after doing some research and reading some of the previous posts on the forum this is what I thought would be the best setup for me. Is there anything here that really does not belong or is not necessary, also is everything compatible with each other. I apologize for any mistakes I have made while selecting this stuff, as I said I am new and have very little experience with building a computer.
Approximate Purchase Date: Sometime in the next 3-4 months, hopefully before Christmas
Budget Range: $1,500-$3,000
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, movies, MS Office, surfing.
Parts Not Required: Windows 7 64-bit OS, Speakers, Mouse.

Parts Preferences: I want to stick with Intel and Nvidia for processor and graphics, but for everything else I really don’t care, as long as it’s quality.
Overclocking: Maybe
Upgrading: I would like to have the option to upgrade the system in future years, but also want a system that is going to be usable for at least 5-6 years.
SLI or Crossfire: Yes, later after 580 cards are cheaper
Monitor Resolution: 1920 x 1080

This is not on the QVL but it does meet all of the connection requirements, and would there be a problem with adding an extra 2-4 GBs of RAM on later (or is 8GBs enough).
