This is my first computer build, I did a lot of research on each item. Can someone please take a look at the items I chose and let me know if I should change anything, any compatibility issues, etc and the reason why please!

Also should I get a SSD card? And is there anything else I should get or consider getting. This is mainly a gaming computer, but I'm also going to be using it for pretty much everything else.

Get that instead of your processor, this is faster and much cheaper... the 2500k is a fine processor but do not pay more for it than you would a nonK I7....

Additionally get 8gb of memory 4 won't work well on games already. and its not that much for 8gb if you look in the right places.

So I'm now getting the CPU that you suggested and a Corsair 8GB (2x 4GB) of memory. Is there anything else I should change and are all of these compatible? And does the case fit all these.

I'd prefer a R9 270 or 270X over the 660 GPU.

I like the ASRock Z77 Extreme4 because it has eSATA, but I know not everyone needs that.

And I gotta say I don't like the look of the case, but that of course is personal preference.

No, a good mid-tower has plenty of space for a typical system. My current favorite cas is the Silverstone Raven 3 ( RV03, ) but it runs $150. For $100 or less, Antec, NZXT, Corsair, and Fractal Design all make a nice case. The Antec Three Hundred Two, NZXT 410, Fractal Define R4 or Arc Mini, and Corsair Carbide series are all nice cases too.
