Solution
The term overkill means it is more than you need, you wont be killing your system.

If you want a good 4K gaming system and plan to keep it for 5-6 years then dual 980Tis would be better cost wise than a single Titan X.
Well the Titan X is a waste TBH. You don't need 12GB of VRAM and a single Titan X wont be able to do 4K @60FPS. A better option would be a single 980Ti or two 980Tis in SLI if you want 60FPS for 4K (even then it wont be able to in all games). If you are fine with 30FPS @ 4K then drop the Titan X and move to the 980Ti to save a bit of money especially since the 980Ti is about 1-2% behind the Titan X in most cases.

The only other things I would change personally is the keyboard to a Corsair K95 RGB and the mouse to the Logitech G502 Proteus Core.

so at 980ti can I play games at 4k resolution i.e. 3840 pixels × 2160 lines?

you are completely right about everything.

was about to post the same EXACT thing

Yes a 980Ti can play at 4K resolutions and as you will see the performance difference between it and a Titan X does not justify the cost difference.

As well I just noticed you plan on the Corsair AX1200i, are you planning SLI in the future or just a single GPU? Because if it is only a single GPU then 1200W is massive overkill, you could easily get away with say a AX760i instead.

hmm k actually I've waited along for this pc.... so please help me as I want to play at 4k resolution? so by going 980ti can I play at 4k resolution and ok I've update my cart with mouse but corsair k95 RGB keyboard is not available in India please suggest me any other keyboard.

Yeah actually I'm planning to use this pc for atleast 5 to 6 year so I'ill only upgrape my gpu like I'll buy amplifier.. so I would need 1200i and by overkill means what? please explain me in detail about should I use 1200i or not because as of I will use only 1 gpu but like after one year or two I'll buy another gpu if needed?

well I'm planning to use this pc for atleast 5 to 6 years so thats why I've selected this ram.. and by overkill means what? please explain me in detail about ram that is it ok to use 64gb or not?

If the Corsair is not available then the Logitech is fine. I just think Corsairs keyboards are built a bit better but Logitech makes decent keyboards.

If you are planning to SLI (add a second GPU) in a year or two then the 1200i is fine to have as you want extra power for that purpose.

There is no way of telling how much RAM will be needed in 5-6 years but I am willing to bet that 32GB will be more than enough in 5-6 years plus DDR4 will be around for a while and if you need to upgrade you will be able to, probably cheaper too by then.

If you feel the need for the 64GB of RAM then by all means go for it. It is just at this stage 64GB is considered massive overkill.

Thank you so much for clearing all my doubts as I still want to know that should I go with 980ti single or double or should i go with titan x for 4k resolution and overkill means I will spent a lot money on ram or overkill means that literally I m killing my machine by going over the limit?????

Thank you so much for helping me with these thing... and now its like 12:19 pm and I'm going to order all the things.....

4K is such a waste. I don't think it looks that good. Why someone would spend that much money just to say they play on 4K is beyond me. 2560X1440 is where its at for gaming.

If you just want to game 64gb's is overkill still probably in 6 years. (overkill means like too good or like better than you need)
8GB's is enough for gaming but you'll be set with 32gbs for a long time 😀

Once again Hello everyone,
Actually as I have ordered all the computer parts two days ago, so I'm collecting video of how install particular part safely, so first of all any tips that to be taken care of any things and secondly while surfing youtube I came to jaytwocents work of skunkworks pc V3, so here are my question regarding his work:

>> If yes should I go with this work?
>> Do we have to take extra care of anything in this kind of work?
>> How much will it cost and in India are these parts available, if yes can you provide me names with link(amazon.in if possible)?

>> And lastly If your reply is no so, do I need anything extra like reservoir, tubes, etc i.e. apart from my current rig?(I'm asking this again because I don't have any kind of tubes, pipes, reservoir or any thing like that for water cooling as I've ordered one cooler thats it.)

Sorry for late reply but as I want to play at 4k resolution I took two 980ti and It cost me more than a single titan x, so I've to order titan x, there was no way apart from this....

Hmm sorry its to late I've ordered allready 64gb ram...

Hi thanks for your suggestion but this is my first gaming pc and I'm excited too so maybe you are right but I can spend on 4k, so I'll go with titan x as this card also support 5k resolution, so its a good thing for me because I can play games with this card for a long time lets say for 5 years.
