I am building my first PC and I have a metric buttload of questions..

Please recommend alternatives, money saving techniques, and tips/tricks.
The components I will purchase...

Case: Raidmax Smilodon?
PSU: Corsair CX750
Mobo: ASUS M5A99FX R2.0
CPU: AMD FX-8350
CPU Fan: Cooler Master 212 Evo
RAM: AMD Raedon Gamer 2133MHz 2X8GB
GPU: Gigabyte WIndforce OC R9 290
Storage: PNY XLR8 128GB SSD (My server has adequete storage and I plan to purchase a WD Blue later down the road...)
Monitor: ASUS VG248QE 24-inch
Keyboard: CM Storm Devastator
Mouse: CM Storm Devastator

My questions in no particular order:

Is there a black and red case with good airflow for a similar or lesser price than the one I want?
(It would be cool with the CM Storm Devastor as it will be right next to it)
Color is not of the highest importance but it would be cool. It must fit the 11.6 inch GPU, have good airflow and of course, be an ATX form factor.

What is the best SSD for less than 90 bucks. Ideally I want one for around 70 bucks, which is why I am thinking of the Crucial MX100. Cheapest is best. I am willing to sacrifice performance for price. Is the PNY SSD any good? DO they come with 2.5 inch to 3.5 inch converters?

Would the 212 Evo be sufficient to OC the CPU to 4.4 GHz?

Will that cheap 5 dollar munshkin converter work with any SSD to fit in my case? (on amazon)
Yeah I know it should be obvious to me but I don't want to spend more money than I have to.

Will the 1.65 volt ram run at 1.65 volts at stock or will I have to go into the UEFI bios?

I will add more questions as I think of them.

Lastly I did not spell gaming like that on purpose....

Solution
Crucial MX100 should be fine.
Your case should have a space to put 2.5 inch drives on the hard drive cage. I doubt you need a converter.

212 EVO cpu cooler is decent enough. whenever you get to 4.4Ghz depends on your cpu but you most likely would.

You could probably get a cheaper ram, 8GB 1600Mhz should be enough for gaming. If doing productivity work with video editing etc.. then 16GB is acceptable.

Ditch the CX 750 and get something better. EVGA B2, G2 series, Corsair AX or HX series, XFX or Seasonic are good to choose from.
