Hey everyone. I'm here because I stupidly bought COD AW w/o checking the system requirements and it is failing to run well on my laptop (which is now 2 years old i7 3630QM nvdia 635M) I've been researching PC budget builds and put together what I think is a good place to start for games that are out now and then upgrade as I get older and richer if need be

I'd like to be able to run games like COD AW, Black flag, batmans as close to max graphics settings as possible (except i always turn off motion blur because it annoys me). Only playing on 1 monitor. Only time i use two is for web browsing, movies, writing etc. Since i'm only ever gaming on 1 monitor I assume overclocking and SLI aren't necessary. I have some wired keyboards and mice lying around but am open to getting a "gaming" board and mouse

SSD is mainly for the OS and maybe 1-2 games that I'm playing the most. I'm not doing any video editing/rendering

I would appreciate any suggestions/changes and please tell me if i'm missing anything

if you want to run the game close to max, you will be looking at a 1k build. I recommend going with i5 haswell or i7, 8gb ddr3, gfx: 280, 280x, 970, 980. 600 to 650 watts psu, case, ssd. Or you can just get a barebone setup on black friday or cyber monday on newegg or tigerdirect. :)

Thank you. So something along the lines of this?

Yessir very good build, but if you want to future proof yourself I recommend going at least a 860w psu bc who knows? you might want another 970 when prices go down. 😉 and as for the monitor, I suggest you getting an IPS panel 1080p monitors if you want to play on 60hz (image quality is absolutely beautiful) RGB 100 percent accurate (http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-VS239H-P-23-Inch-Full-HD-Monitor/dp/B008DWITHI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1416247096&sr=8-1&keywords=IPS)and if you're an fps gamer go for 144hz ASUS 248qe (http://www.amazon.com/VG248QE-24-inch-LED-lit-Monitor-response/dp/B00B2HH7G0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1416247126&sr=8-1&keywords=248qe&pebp=1416247146024).
