MSI - X370 GAMING PRO CARBON ATX AM4 Motherboard

G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory

Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 1080 8GB G1 Gaming Video Card

Phanteks - ECLIPSE P400S ATX Mid Tower Case

SeaSonic - 650W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

Solution
Build looks solid with good quality components, including the PSU (Seasonic G-650).

Though, for gaming alone, Intel build would do better since most games doesn't use more than 4 cores. And in single-core and quad-core performance, Intel is way above over AMD Ryzen.
AMD build is great if you stream and do video editing since Ryzen CPUs excel in multi-core performance. Also, there's always a hope that future games utilize more than 4 cores.

Just for information, Ryzen 5 1600 vs i5-7600K,
