Okay Im 15 and I just finished my first build...
I am using the
GIGABYTE GA-G31M-S2L LGA 775 Intel G31 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

With the E7200 Wolfdale
and 2gb OCZ Platinum

So far I raised the bus to 333mhz (from 266) with a mult of 9.5
giving me 3.16ghz and I am keeping my vcore at 1.175
The cpu idles at ~34C in the bios with the cpu fan rpm at 2000/m

Should I go ahead and try to go any farther or what do i do?

what cooler?

Assuming a quality one, the fun part would be to take the multiplier down to 9, then bus and memory both running at 400.

I would hold and test that at 3.6 GHz, see how it behaves.

V3NOM i dont know why everyone is against mem ocing.
From my experience the higher the mem clock the higher the mem read/write/copy speed, even my mem latency is improved...
So why so anti ram ocing

Those temps are too bad but you can probably get them down lower with a good fan/heatsink such as a xigmatek s1283 and a good thermal compound.

You could probably get it down another 10C on full load.

Currently, i'm running a OC'd Q6600 @ 3.0Ghz and it never gets higher than 50C on full load.

Overclocking your ram doesn't make your fsb run any faster.
