Hey guys! I'm new here, and have been using Tom's to get info for my very first build. I have never built a computer before, or actually ever owned an actual performance PC, so this is a pretty interesting experience.
I've decided to build my own gaming PC, and I just wanted to know if there are any thoughts about my proposed build. I've been researching for weeks, and this is what I've come up with.
- Antec Nine Hundred case
- Intel i5 6600K
- MSi Z170 Krait Gaming Motherboard
- EVGA 4GB Superclocked ACX 2.0 GTX 970 GPU
- Antec EDGE 650W 80+ GOLD Fully Modular PSU
- G.Skillz Ripjaws 4 Series 16GB DDR4 RAM (4x4)
- Zalman CNP MAX-B CPU Cooler
- WD Blue 1 TB HDD + 128GB Samsung EVO SSD
Then I have to buy a DVD drive and a couple extra 120mm fans for good measure. What do you guys think? Is this OK as a mid-tier gaming rig? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
