I'm building a gaming pc for the first time, and I've studied a bit so that I know what kind of components I want. And I ended up with these:

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5 Ghz
Memory: Corsair Vengeance Blue (2x4GB) 1600Mhz
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3
GPU: MSI R7 260X 2GB DDR5
HDD: 1TB
Power Supply: Ace Power 400W

Do I need to change or add anything? Is this good? Can I play games high settings on it? I appreciate

I would suggest getting a better motherboard. That is 760g Chipset, look at getting a 970 Chipset Motherboard, or a 990 if you will be overclocking.

In addition look for a motherboard that supports faster RAM frequencies, like 1866Mhz or 2100Mhz, then you can get faster RAM.

CPU you should maybe looking into getting a slightly better one FX8xxx is good.

And finally dont get a cheap PSU, I did and its a very bad idea, look for a 500w BRONZE rating PSU. A cheap PSU will cause graphical and general system issues.

I can see that you are looking to make a budget build, but don't worry, you can get the parts I have recommended relatively cheaply, good luck!

The motherboards is not very good, but the PSu is the worst part. Its bad enough that using it puts the whole system at risk of being damaged. Grab a better unit from Seasonic, XFX, Antec, Superflower, EVGA(b2, g2, gs). Make sure the ram has a CAS of 9 or less with with ddr3 1600. The 260x is not going to play newer games at high settings(assuming a resolution of 1080p).

So I decided to change my build and use an APU so I don't need a graphic card for now, that way I can have more budget to spent on the motherboard, psu, and ram. For the APU, is the A10-7850k a good choice? Well, I'm gonna be stuck with an APU for a while without graphic card until I can get an upgrade.

Btw thank you so much for everyone that replied, I didn't expect it to be so fast. 😀

Whats your budget and where are you located? We can post builds that will help you get the most for your money. IMHO don't get an APU if gaming is your goal.

I am in Indonesia, southeast asia. The components here are more expensive, for example what should be $180 in the internet would be $200 here. $475 is my budget but cut it to around $390 because of the OS. I don't plan on playing games on 1080p high settings with the APU anyway, it doesn't really matter about the graphics as long as it can run like games now on 30fps.
