my fps is low on minecraft with a msi 770

recently i have bought a new gpu which is the msi geforce gtx 770 Twin frozer OC edtion. I have been looking around on the internet and saw people get like 100-150 fps on minecraft and i only get 60fps. i have tried disabling vsync in minecraft and on nvidia control panel, as i heard someone else said too; still no change.So any ideas Guys thanks!

You as in what you see can't tell the difference between what's over 60fps. And yes VSync will stop at 60 max as it has to Sync every frame. Are you sure you hit apply when you turned off Vsync?

I would guess it's because of the 60Hz refresh rate (you can't see above 60fps because that's the maximum refresh rate)
This however does not mean more than 60fps speeds can't be processed, however they just won't be appearing at that speed

Yes thank you for your answer but, i have a mate who has the 780 and get like 280 fps. Also i sometimes even go 50 fps.

minecraft doesn't care about your gpu... its completely cpu limited.

It's possible that the rest of your system either ram or cpu is a bottleneck and keeping your gpu from getting higher fps but we don't have that info from you. But as I stated you won't tell the difference in what you see at any higher fps then 60.
