Hello,
I have a friend with a computer which is constantly freezing and crashing, i've told him he should buy an SSD and he says that it's not going to make a difference and instead is going to spend £140 on a keyboard and mouse.
Specs:
I5-2400
8GB ddr3
GTX 1660S
TX550m
5400rpm 1tb HDD (Which is used and about 3 years old)
He wanted me to post a forum post to prove to him the benefits of an SSD over a mouse and keyboard, p.s he is already upgrading the CPU and stuff like that.
Thanks,

Solution
Fix the freezing and crashing problem first.
I can't imagine that a new keyboard and mouse would fix anything.

I will never again build a pc without a ssd.
It is not about boot times which we do rarely.
It makes everything you do much quicker.
Browsing is faster, thumbnails open instantly.
Then, also, 5400rpm drives are slow.
If you are a bit short on ram, page faults get resolved some 40x faster.
Look at how much space is actually used on your HDD C drive.
You can buy a 500gb samsung evo for £100.
Here is a link to the samsung ssd migration app and manual:

I wouldn't think either solution would fix crashing. The SSD might help with the freezing. Depends on why it's freezing. But I personally wouldn't start buying things until I figure out why it's doing what it's doing.
The crashing isn't like a bsod or hard crashing, it just sometimes get so slow that he says it's as good as crashed.
