My friend went off on my parts list for my build. Is it okay?

That PC will be a beast... There's no problems I see other than maybe a different Mobo because the kraits had bad reviews last socket but I haven't looked into them for this new chipset. Some may say a smaller PSU but I'd keep it in case you ever want to SLI

Here's a build if you're NOT overclocking.

Yall xD hahahha I'm laughing so hard. Yes he totally tore me to shreds about how bad of a performance I'm gonna have with the i5 6600k especially with my video card but it's nice to know that I shouldn't be taking his opinion on it anymore

I did check yours out and I'm gonna compare and stuff later on my list. I'm not sure if I'm gonna overclock or not, maybe not. I want to be able to run high and ultra and be able to record and edit videos with it is my main use

Maybe he believes 8 cores is better than 6 (not in his case when the IPC is significantly lower), or maybe he believes the AMD hype based on clock speed, of a processor that is about to be completely obsolete.

This is much better if you're streaming/editing/rendering.
What is your budget? You never told us.
I can bring this to $1500 easily if need be.
