Hello guys! Scroll down to go straight to the current problem!

THIS IS THE STORY:

My friend wanted to upgrade his computer. Since his CPU was so old he decided to change it from a 5 years old AMD to the new Intel series.
So basically he bought the intel i7 6700k processor and the Gigabyte GA-B150M-DS3H DDR3 motherboard.

Then we tried to start the computer and it wouldn't start! ( didn't even get to bios it just restarted and restarted after 3sec of load all over again. ) So we posted on another forum and people told him that his old DDR3 ram was not supported for that processor. He would need DDR3L or DDR4 memory/ram for the new processor!

So then we went to buy the new ram for 60 euro which was DDR3L (1x8gb) hyperx Fury ( HX316C10FB/8 ) which the guy in the store looked up in some manual and said was compatible with that setup. So he bought them!

Then we started the PC with the new ram installed and it worked!

Then we started the windows 10 installation and after 2 steps or something it froze.
Then nothing happened for about 15 min so we had to manually restart.
We did it again and again untill we finally did it, we installed windows 10!

Now we installed all the drivers that was required and then we started to download programs and games. Then after about one hour the computer froze again, but now in windows!
We tried rebooting again and again but it kept freezing everytime except it came faster and faster. Now we are here!

Specs:
CPU: intel i7 6700k
COOLER: cooler master hyper 212 evo
GPU: GeForce GTX 960 Super JetStream (2048MB GDDR5)
PSU: Corsair CX750 , 750W PSU
RAM: DDR3L (1x8gb) hyperx Fury ( HX316C10FB/8 )
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B150M-DS3H DDR3
HDD: Seagate 2TB harddrive ( not sure of which ).
Case: Coolermaster elite 430
Windows : Windows 10.

PROBLEM:
Why can't this system work properly? Why is it getting freeze lags during boot and during windows reinstallation and even after windows installation when we are in a fully installed windows?

Thanks in advance guys!

Hi! He has a Corsair CX750 , 750W PSU so it should be enough for sure!
Also for cooler : cooler master hyper 212 evo

That's everything. I hope you can help! Ty !

Is your UEFI version the latest available from Gigabyte? Also, as dasp0 pointed out, your RAM seems to be the incorrect version again. The part # shows it to be DDR3 and not the supported DDR3L. http://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/HX316C10FB_8.pdf This can result in burning out the IMC inside the CPU, though how long that would take is anyone's guess. I would still exchange it regardless. To be honest, this has been an ongoing debate as some manufacturers insist that DDR3 is "safe" with Skylake based CPUs. However, Intel themselves say DDR3L or DDR4 only due to voltage requirements, ect. You could always try running a bootable version of Memtest86 on the system to check for memory errors at stock speeds. Also, you may want to remove the GTX 960 if that doesn't work just to eliminate the GPU as a possible cause.

Alright, thanks for the message. We will try out all of these things tomorrow because now it's midnight here! Thanks for the answer and I hope you keep following this thread! We will come back to the thread in a few hours!
Thanks for all the help everyone! Keep helping please! :)

Alright, do you mean it should be 1.25V as a default in bios if it's DDR3L ?

What we did now was that we started the computer and it has worked for about 40min now. We just had problems installing the lan drivers so we had to restart.. but now it works.

Now we downloaded HWmonitor to check the temps meanwhile we do stuff.

Yeah, DDR3L overall seems to be very very unusual. Even the guy in the store told us so.

My mistake, DDR3 is 1.5V and DDR3L is 1.35V.. Like the guy on top said, DDR3L can operate at both 1.5V and 1.35V, but skylake supports 1.35V only.
It should be running at 1.35V..I think there are DDR3L modules that run on 1.25V, but I am confused right now. Must've been drunk when I posted my above answers..
