if i were to switch to intel would you recommend a g4560 and a 1060 and i5 7500 with a gtx 1050 ti?

Price to performance the Ryzen is better then the G4560 and when overclocked pretty much matches the 7500.

ryzen does let lower fps compared for intel

You can go with that 7500/1050 ti however the Ryzen (Oced) 1200 and 1060 6gb will outperform it. Also AMD will be using the AM4 socket until 2020 so that will allow your friend to upgrade later on without having to change the motherboard or memory.

If your friend can wait and save up a little bit more Intel will be releasing there budget Coffeelake boards early next year so pairing the i5-8400 (6 core) with the GTX 1060 would be a great combo.

ill keep that in mind. Just letting you know he is a pc noob lol so OC might be difficult for him and he wants to get good fps in what ever game he plays

Or get the 8400 now with a 1050 ti if your friend is ok with the graphic performance of it at 1080P.
