My Fsp Hyper 80 + Pro 650w just got a loud pop sound and I failed to switch on my pc.
May I know how likely the psu will damage other components?

Sounds like a capacitor blew. How do you know it has not been slowly damaging your system for some time now? How old is it? Maybe you got lucky. Buy a new PSU and see what happens. It will probably be ok but there's never any guarantee. If it's still under warranty send it back.
