I am planning at some point to upgrade my pc to play 4k. So I was wondering if I needed to upgrade anything else besides my graphics solution when the time comes?

I realize that I will have to upgrade my graphics card, I am thinking I will make the leap to 4k when Batman: Arkham Knight comes out but I can be patient if the next line of graphics cards has a much bigger performance improvement than most new architectures compared to their predecessors. I was wondering though if I needed to upgrade anything else besides the monitor and the graphics solution.

It depends on your games.
The GTX770 has a displayport 1.2 which is necessary to output faster than 30fps.
If it has the power to drive a monitor sufficiently fast is another question.
For fast action games, probably not.
For strategy games and such you are likely ok. I see 60fps using a GTX780 and a 4k monitor with civ 4 and 5.
I think skyrim is ok, but I have not gotten that far with it.
