FULL SPECS:
Ryzen 5 2600 w/ stock cooler @ 3.85GHz
1X8GB Crucial 2400MHz DDR4
ASUS Strix B350-F AM4
GALAX GTX 1060 6GB OC
Thermaltake Smart Pro RGB 650W 80+ Bronze Modular PSU

Recently I built my first PC and booted up some games, at once i found that my brand new Galax GTX 1060 6GB was performing worse than my friends 1050 Ti that he was running with an i7 and 16GB's of DDR3. Then i watched some benchmarks with the same specs as i had and they were getting 150 fps on Overwatch at ultra while i was averaging 80 fps. I definitely need some help as i want to get the full potential out of this PC and don't want to be missing out.

Solution
Here is your problem. You NEED 16GB RAM run in dual channel. I guarantee you that will make all the difference. Buy an identical 8gb stick to the one you have or buy a 16gb (8gbx2) kit asap. Then you'll be able to enjoy that card

i've been getting around 72 degrees Celsius while playing overwatch while having it overclocked +200 core clock and +500 memory, i havent really been checking cpu and gpu utilization but i will and reply with that info

Sorry for not noting the distinction, I was talking about the gpu and im not sure if it is a bottleneck as my cpu is a pretty recent one but i'll lower the vram overclock and try again

Check your CPU temps also, could be throttling.

Staying at around 30-40 during a game, they seem to be fine
