My games no longer run

So I plugged in a new monitor to my computer while it was still on (I know rookie mistake) and now whenever I try to launch ANY game (OW, PUBG ECT...) it will launch with immense screen tearing and unplayable fps. I had a gtx 960 with a core i7 4790k. I was told to get a new GPU and I did. I bought a 1050ti OC edition and the problem is still occuring. My pc is completely functionel other than it can't play games AT ALL and it previously played most games at 1080p 60 fps and now nothing runs at all.

Have you tried to reset your PC? Click Start and type Reset. You then click on Reset My PC. You can keep your apps and files or if nothing extremely important is on your PC you can completely reset it or you can choose to just keep your apps. It's recommended that you have a copy of Win 10 just in case. You can download this tool https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 which will then allow you to create a bootable copy of Win 10 on a USB drive 8GB or larger.

Have you gone into Nvidia's control panel(right-click desktop and click on Nvidia control panel) and set your resolution again? Set it to another resolution and then back to your monitor's native resolution if it's already set correctly.

Have you tried re-installing the nvidia drivers?
