My games run slow on average PC!!!

i brought a gaming pc and its has AMD FX-4170 4.20 GHz Quad-Core 8GB RAM 64 bit Windows 8 (also tried windows 7) External HDD 2TB in usb 3.0 slot (no internal HDD as corrupt) AMD Radeon HD 6670 2GB running in 1920x1080 and i am trying to run games which are way above minimum requirements and i cant even run the games in high settings or sometimes even medium. my power supply to the motherboard is ment to have 8pin power plug to it but is only 4pin and im not sure if this is the main problem or if my graphics card is not good enough or if its both. my real aim is to play games like Battlefield 4 and Call of duty: Ghost in high as possible settings without losing framerates or lag.
please someone help me 🙁

You have a budget/low end gaming PC. Medium is about as good as you'll get with that system in battlefield and cod ghosts. The power plug thing, I think, is fine.

Nothing is wrong with your pc. The 6670 is just a very weak graphics card, dont expect to play in 1080P at anything more than medium, usually low graphics.

So what would I need for ultra high settings in games like battlefield 4?

Well it sounds like you need a new CPU and GPU and maybe a new PSU since you said yours only has a 4 pin connector to the motherboard. Usually you only find that on low quality units or a PSU that came with a case at some point. What is your budget?

im not sure just wanna play battlefield 4 with ease and all other games that are high detailed games but I'm not sure what to do as I'm a computer novice

You need an internal hard drive and a better GPU (good for medium in most games) and likely a better CPU (if you want high/ultra). It is likely easier to start from scratch with a new PC.

That's what I was thinking of doing to be honest thanks for that tho
