So ive just upgraded to a 144Hz monitor, and im using a display port cable. its set to my second monitor which might have something to do with it but i need that for the way my mouse moves across, however on overwatch theres a tab to select "best match" display, and its choosing my 60 hz monitor instead? ive tried selecting monitor 1 and monitor 2 manually but neither moves over to my new monitor, any suggestions?

Solution

Plug both into the 1060, no it won't hurt your gaming performance, then go into Nvidia Control Panel > Setup Multiple Displays > set the monitors to what you want (144 primary, 60 secondary). Run Overwatch in fullscreen so the mouse won't come off the primary monitor while gaming.

No thats what i tried to say, it has to be set to monitor 2 as my mouse would only be able to go across to both screens the way i dont want it to go

I have a gtx 1060 6gb, and the monitor im trying to game on is plugged into it, the second monitor is plugged into my mother board

Ill try that in a second, but ive been searching the internet, and i come across something telling me to go into device manager which i did, but not ive noticed that both my monitors are called "Generic PnP monitors" im not sure if its suppose to say this or?

No this still does not work it allowed me to change the monitor i wanted to monitor 1, but overwatch still plays on monitor 2 and will not allow me to move over to monitor 1

okay i dont want to jinx this, but i think i may have fixed the issue. The resolution size was set to just (x) which when i changed it to 1920x1080 it switched to monitor 1? i dont understand both monitors are the same size "wise and have the same resolution :/

Confusing as hell, Hoping it only does it for this one game thought

i understand the issue now, i didnt notice the little number next to resolution (50,60,75,100,110,120,144) and i had it set to 60 so it was obviously setting my game to the 60 HZ monitor, thanks for your help though!
