My gaming build (2011) need some help

This will be my first build, I wanted to make sure everything was compatible, if my motherboard was going to run good with crossfire, and if anyone had any opinions or recommendations.

So like I said before, I just want to make sure everything is compatible together, and if Crossfire will run smooth. And please post any opinions/recommendations you have.

Looks good, only I would add an aftermarket heatsink and fan such as the Coolermaster Hyper 212+, since I heard the stock intel one for the i7 is horrible

If you want to save yourself $100 go with the i5-2500K instead of the i7-2600K. The biggest difference is hyperthreading which doesn't make a difference in gaming.

The i5/i7 stock heatsink cools well enough at stock settings, but it's pretty loud.

Instead of two 6870 I would get a single 6970 2GB. This way you won't mess with scaling, drivers and temperatures while you still play everything at 1080p

The 2600K is throwing away $100 seeing how it has zero advantage over the 2500K in regards to gaming, the 6870 is average at best, you can do better than a thermaltake psu (who get's an 850w psu for 6870's?), and that Antec 1200 is spendy.

That build is not balanced at all. You sunk a ton of money into the case and cpu and shorted yourself in other area's.

I agree with getting an i5 instead of an i7, it isn't really worth it.

I would recommend instead of buying two lower end GPUS just investing in a single more high end GPU (Not to say that the GPU card you have is low-end but you know what I mean)

The only other recommendation I would make is to get a Western Digital HDD rather than a Samsung. I work for a company with alot of employees on alot of high power workstations. I have to RMA ALOT of HDDs. More often they are from companies such as Samsung, Seagate, etc. and Alot less often from Western Digital.

And get a PSU from a slightly more reliable company, such as Corsair (in my preference)

Ok, I changed the 2600k to a 2500k, I upgrade the 6870 to a 6970 2gb, and the PSU was a gift from my dad, so I already have it . And I guess I will downgrade the 1200 to a 902, so what do you think of it now?
