AMD FX-4100 @ 3.6GHZ
8gb 1600 DDr3 ram
Radeon 6850 HIS
630 watt Psu
Windows 8 64 bit
So far my computer has crashed during these 3 games.
Left 4 dead 2
Star was Knights of the old republic.
League of legends.
I had been using windows 8 consumer preview for the last year, and I was hoping with my personal use copy this would go away. It hasn't, before installing i formatted my hard drive just in case.
The odd thing that made me suspect full screen being the culprit, is i left League of legends in full screen for a few days after installing windows 8. I normally play it windowed and it has never done this windowed.
In fact, none of the games I have ever played in windowed does this.
I have tried every kind of driver imaginable, from new ones, to old ones, to beta drivers.
Heat is not an issue.
During gaming my general temps are normally 40c, and are much less when im doing normal activities.
I've looked at event viewer too, and don't see anything much unusual, but i can post what happened around the time of my last crash if you think its necessary,
