Hi!
Sooo, i got this GTX 470, and i was playing DS3 like usual and just saw that the GPU was reaching the 90C° easily.
so i decided to change the thermal paste.... So i open the graphics card, remove the cooler.
Cleaned the old Thermal paste, and replace it with a new one. closed up everything and plug it into the PC.
Now my GPU doesn't give any signal to my TV. and idk what to do.
tried testing it on my Dad's PC but the same problem.
my gpu just died because i replace the termal paste??
or can i fix it? :( can't afford a new one :((

This could be two problems.

1 You may have tightened everything up too tight,,, try loosening the screws, make it snug not tight.
2 Too much thermal paste, remove the heatsink and confirm the paste isn't all over the place.
Unlike a cpu overflowing thermal paste can be a real problem. Once this has been confirmed see step number 1.

Great to hear the GTX 470 is still in use. I loved my old gtx570.

I hope that helps!

still not giving any signal :(, i booted up my pc with Integrated Graphics and the pc is recognizing the GPU without problems, could be the mini hdmi?
my pc just won't boot up with the mini hdmi connnected to GPU.
it's like its freezing when i plug in the mini hdmi in the GPU

It could be a short, try another cable?
I also had issues with that at times with my 570/670
power off the computer, disconnect power for 5 mins
reconnect everything and reboot.
It's worth a shot if you have not done this already
could be the mini is shot
could be the cable
