Hello, recently I posted about RMA'ing my R7850 2GB, because of some red pixels I saw during start up/standard use at times, but I moved my gaming setup around, and now I don't notice them red pixels/artifacts upon startup.. It doesn't make much sense, but does anyone have an explanation or should I still RMA it? It's all back to normal now so it seems. Idk what the problem was.

Solution
There are many factors you may be seeing red pixels
Some of the reasons-
1.The fans on the gpu wasn't working properly and when u moved it a bit the fans got placed correctly and started spinning properly.
2.Some dust particiles were blocking the memory channels and when you moved your pc along with your gpu in it it got shifted and now your gpu is able to function properly.
3.The gods of computer have blessed you with a gift and you should consider accepting it and show grace towards them.

What I would recommend is running heaven unigine and see if you see any red pixels/artifacts.If you don't see any that means it was one of the above problems and it got fixed.Make sure you run unigine on max.

I've worked at an electronics shop for over 30 years - the hardest problem to find is one that's not there any more. The fact that moving it seems to have "fixed" the problem does point towards a connection problem. The most likely to me would be the possibility of foreign material on the pci-e connector. Clean the gold contacts on the card & connector itself - Caig Labs has some very good products. If this does not help the connection problem is likely poor solder on one of the many surface mount components on the gpu. You've heard of people taking a heat gun to their xbox - kind of a "junk-yard fix? I do not recommend this - it would be RMA time.
