For a few months now, some fan in my PC has been suddenly turning to max speed for a couple of minutes and the turning back to normal speeds. I have been keeping track on temperatures and fan speeds on HW monitor and other monitor softwares. Everytime it does it, I look at my temperatures and fan sped from HW monitor, and so far my temps have been, 40-50 for the CPU and 50-60 for the GPU. My fan curves are set so these temps should not trigger max speeds. A few times my GPU fan speed has said the max RPM was over 10k, so I guess it has something to do with that. It only shows the insane RPM for a moment and very rarely, after that it shos the current RPM as about 1500, but the fan still continues on max speed for a couple of minutes. It's probably a driver or ahrdware issue. My drivers are up to date also.

did yo dust of all fans and what king of air flow in the case .
They are a bit dusty but not much, I have 2 120mm intake and 1 120mm exhaust, also my GPU is Asus Strix GTX 1070 and CPU is Ryzen 5 1600 with stock cooler. They should be enough because they have been just fine for 8 months before this started to happen.

OK sorry for not answering, I was completely ready to give up on this problem. However, I fixed it. The problem was in old version of GPU Tweak II, I uninstalled that and also Nvidia drivers, then reinstalled both. The fans no longer do the horrible noise, and my temps are way lower than before. Previously I had 55 C in idle and over 75 C in load, now idle temps are usually about 30-40 depending if I just stopped gaming or not. Load temps also never got above 59 C. Note: Don't use Nvidia drivers 419.17 with GTX 1070, it crashed my whole computer 3 times midgame, installing older version solved the problem and my PC is running like a dream again.
