Question My gpu is not working when inserted into the motherboard, e.g- no display and beeping

cpu- i7-2600
gpu- 1660ti
MB- lenovo IS6XM REV 1.0
-24gb DDR3 Ram (2x4)(2x8)
-500 watt psu

When i turn on pc the gpu boots and fans turn on but there is no signal to the display and the gpu then proceeds to beep, any ideas on how to solve this problem.

Im upgrading from a 1050ti PCIE graphics card which worked fine.

Have you connected the PCI-E connectors to the GPU ? Sounds like a Motherboard compatibility issue to me.

yes the gpu is connected, i did have an idea that it was a motherboard compatibility issue as it is very old.
however it did run the 1050ti
