hey basically ive been getting this a lot
Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

when i play assetto corsa and other games

I HAVE TRIED ALL THE FIXES available here and on the web, none have fixed
also i ran memtest and no error and hdd scans etc.

so i was playing assetto corsa and looked my temp it was 90 degrees, i tried putting my clock speeds to -100 and increasing fan speed and it seemed to not make my PC completely freeze (which requires me to force restart my pc) etc, so i was happy, but then it happened! when it happened my temp was high

do you think this keeps happening and MOSTLY freezing my entire PC

"Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered."

is because i have a faulty gpu, i should try aomnther pci slot because someone said it could be my motherboard or cpu! but my cpu gets only 40-50 degrees celcius or is this erorr due to my temps.
can someone help ms quickly please thanks :)

check that your gpu fan is working. downlaod msi afterburner and force the fan to 100 percent see if the fan spins up to max speed. if it does and you can hear it then change msi fan profile make the fan max out at 50c then try the game again if the gpu overheats again there an issue with the gpu and it should be replaced if it under warranty.

I would also try cleaning out your case. If your PC has alot of dust, then get yourself some compressed air, and just spray the air where the dust buildup is and that will help reduce temperatures also.

A gtx 660 and my psu is evga 850w +80 gold.. do you think the not responding isssue
"Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered."

is due to my gpu overheating or defective or my motherbaord?

okay it is working because when i increase i can hear the fan but ill put it up to the full percentage which i think is only like 60 or 70 and see.

yep, agreed, check the case and clean it out, helped me a few weeks back. also download speed fan if you dont already and bump gpu fan to 100%, if you don't hear any change in speed or sound for that matter then I would check if it is actually working as it should, it's better it crash than burn out on you tho so at least you have that going for you.

i have a brand new pc build pretty much so i dont think its because of dust in my case
idk about my gpu though! it was dusty before i took it out my old PC but dude, i blew my fan and it seemed the dust had gotten out? what do you think?

Dude I have a GTX 660 in my alienware x51 and it got up to 80c+ on arma 2 OA with fan at max but that was a reference. I would try reinstalling drivers man and if that doesnt work, than it might just be the gpu or the thermal paste.

ive treid drivers dude trust me ive tried everything! regedit! everything haha

what do you mean? thermal paste on a graphics card? where is the thermal paste on a graphics card?

right increasing fan and memory clock didnt help! it just happened again so what gpu tester shall i use and ill try rma then.
