So I was building my computer, and was gonna install the GPU. The manual did not have enything about the unlocking that lock at the end of the slot before installing, and so I did it without opening the latch. Later, I decided to take out the GPU to do better cable management and get access to some of the blocked off ports, and found that the GPU was stuck. I can't open the latch, and the card won't budge. I'm afraid to break the slot or card if I pull harder. What do I do???

I don't think you would have been able to put the GPU into the slot without opening the latch so I doubt you broke it. They do require some force to open and the card should "pop" out of the slot a little bit when you do.

you need to have someone help you; have another person pull on the gpu equally from the front (bracket) and back at the same time while you can push down on the latch.

The same thing happened to me and after pushing the lock with increasingly more pressure with each attempt the lock popped off somewhere. Luckily my card works just fine without it.
