My GPU isn't working!!!

Hey guys!
So i just built my PC and everything seems okay
when i connected my monitor to my gpu it says no signal
i connected my monitor to my motherboard and it works
I tried removing and installing my GPU a few times and it doesn't work
I've downloaded the latest drivers and it doesn't work
I've set the graphics to PCI 1e slot on the bios menu
Still it doesn't work
Is my GPU dead?? What should I do???
System Specs:
Intel Pentium G3250 3.20 ghz
8gb ddr3 1600mhz ram+1 gb ddr3 ram
gigabyte h81m ds2v motherboard
sapphire AMD r7 240 2gb ddr3 gpu
evga 400w non modular psu
1tb western digital hard drive

Tried another monitor/tv?

Try updating your bios to the latest version.

Make sure you only have display connected to the graphics card, NOT the motherboard when you power on or it may default to the IGPU.

Gpu failed.

GPU failure seems likely. It should output a signal without drivers.

Have you tried a different port on the GPU? If you are using HDMI switch to DVI, or anything else just to see.
