My gpu wont work

So i upgraded my Acer x3995. I took the 6gb of ram, 500gb hdd, and the i3 2120 and acer's own motherboard. I bought a MSI r7 370 2gb, a bitfenix comrade case and a corsair vs450. When i boot up my pc without the gpu, it starts just normally. But when i put the gpu in, it will boot up, but it wont display.


PS. i have a pci-e 2 on my mobo and the gpu works on pci-e 3. Could that be the promblem?

You're borderline with power requirements for the system. In fact I wouldn't continue to run with the VS unit.

PCI-E 3.0 x16 devices are backwards compatible with PCI-E 2.0 x16 slots.
