I bought a new computer last month ago with the following specs:
i5 4570 3.2Ghz Processor
Intel DH87MC Motherboard
Kingston HyperX(2X4)GB R.A.M
Zotac GTX 660 Synergy Edition
Cooler Master Cabinet with supplier of thunder 600W

Well, as I said It gets upto 98C when I run heavy games like Rivals on full settings and when idle it stays at 38C.I ran other games too like Ghosts, Max Payne 3, Battlefield 4, Black Flag and it went till 90C Max. As said by nvidia the card can hold up till 105C but I am afraid when I will run Watch Dogs and other upcoming games it might reach that. So any suggestions Excluding keeping it open or moving it to other place should be good enough. My room temperature is around 35 to 45 in New Delhi in Summers .

Thanks !!(In Advance)

That does sound high, considering that 97c is the MAX temp for that card if I recall correctly.

My card never gets above 70, and idles around 25-28C.

Is it very warm in your room? Did you overclock? Is your case clean? Do you have good airflow?

Yes it came with a firestorm and I use it everyday. Max speed for this card is 74.

When I ran with the lid opened the temperature remained till 70 - 80 but it brings in a lot of dust. Sooo not a one I'm going to do.

your GTX is with a OC edition So it is obvious it will not reach above that .
